On August 21, 2018, Radagast Pet Food voluntarily expanded their recall to include Rad Cat Raw Diet Products with best by dates between 10/19/2018 through 12/3/2019 due to potential contamination with Listeria monocytogenes. No pet or human illnesses have been reported to date.
Radagast Pet Food initially voluntarily recalled one lot of their Rad Cat Raw Diet Free-Range Chicken and one lot of Free-Range Turkey Recipe on March 20, 2018 due to possible contamination with Listeria monocytogenes.
The initial recall in March occurred after the FDA and the Ohio Department of Agriculture tested several tubs of Rad Cat Raw Diet and two tested positive for Listeria monocytogenes. This recall was extended this month after Radagast identified a source of potential contamination in its facility. The company ensures this will capture any additional lots that may have been affected.
